DATA PRIVACY NOTICE AND CONSENT

The Center for Educational Measurement, Inc. (CEM), as the administrator of the National Merchant Marine Aptitude Test (NaMMAT), is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), and other relevant policies and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

1. Collection of Personal Information

By submitting this registration form, you voluntarily provide the following personal information: full name, e-mail address, cellphone number, chosen test site, test date, and session preference. This information is collected solely for the purpose of processing your walk-in registration for the NaMMAT examination.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:

  • Verification and processing of your NaMMAT walk-in examination registration;
  • Communication regarding your examination schedule, venue, and other relevant instructions;
  • Generation of examination records and registration confirmation;
  • Statistical and analytical purposes related to the NaMMAT examination; and
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements as may be required by law.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Your personal data may be shared with authorized personnel of CEM and relevant government agencies (such as the Maritime Industry Authority or MARINA) only to the extent necessary for the purposes stated above. CEM shall not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

4. Data Retention

Your personal information will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws, rules, and regulations. After such period, your data will be securely disposed of or anonymized.
